The Union had a meeting with the management of St Martin’s College following a claim for recognition of LSAs at the College. The Union and the College agreed to start discussions on a side agreement to cover these members.

The Union reminds members that medical personnel attending sickness verification visits to teaching grades cannot amend personal medical certificates issued by other GPs. Members who experience these situations are asked to report the case to the Union.

The Union is informed that some schools are introducing ad-hoc sick leave notification procedures which are not in line with established procedures in the PSMC. The Union is inviting members to provide further feedback about respective procedures in schools to address the matter accordingly.
