During a four hour meeting held yesterday, where the Union was supposed to have its turn to outline its proposals, Union officials walked out during a stormy session in which previous agreements were highly criticised and labelled as a complete failure by Directorate officials. This occurred as the MUT noted that the Directorates want to increase workloads of teaching grades and want to violate their time after official working hours. The Union has notified the MEDE that it will not attend any further meetings until the official working document being prepared by MEDE is provided to the Union and clearance from finance is obtained. The MUT made it clear that it is useless negotiating any further if such a climate persists.
