MUT Signs Joint Social Partner Declaration on Mental Wellbeing at the Workplace
This morning the MUT signed a ‘Joint Maltese Social Partner Declaration on Mental Wellbeing at the Workplace’, which is a commitment to collaborate constructively in bridging the divide between words and action when it comes to issued related to mental health at the workplace in the best interests of employers and workers in Malta. The MUT has agreed to work together to increase awareness about, and combat stigma surrounding mental health issues, and to consider the best ways through which mental health at workplaces in Malta can be improved.
Speaking during the signing, Ms Carmen Dimech, MUT General Secretary stated that MUT shall be collaborating on the issue as good mental health in education is very important as educators affect students and eventually future generations. The declaration was signed by ten social partners including Forum Unions Maltin (For.U.M.).
