The MUT is informed that members are being requested to carry out training on AED. The union understands the need of this training but is opposing a training without a framework which supports educators when required. The union communicated with the Ministry and to-date there is no agreement about the same.

The MUT has opened a formal case with the Education Ministry regarding educators who have changed their employer and did not have all their previous years of employment being recognised. The MUT is referring to the relevant legislation and also to the rulings which recommend that prior experience is recognised.
