The MUT, the Secretariat for Catholic Education and the Church Schools Associations held extensive discussions on the implementation of paid carers’ leave in Church Schools/SfCE. A way forward for its implementation has been agreed upon. This shall be communicated in early January. MUT thanks the SfCE and the CSA for this development.

The MUT shall be holding a meeting for all members at FES on Wednesday 17th December at 18.30. Members shall receive further details by email to attend the meeting.

The MUT has been informed that the Education Ministry accepted the request to initiate discussions leading to an updated security protocol in schools. The Union is looking forward to carry out this exercise which shall work hand in hand with the action group on security established by the Education Ministry.
