MUT meets the new Education Minister Byron Camilleri
The MUT held an introductory meeting with the new Minister of Education and Sport, Hon Byron Camilleri. The meeting was the first of a series of meetings that shall be held between the union and the ministry to discuss education matters. Whilst congratulating the new Minister, the MUT highlighted the work of the union in the past years and its wish to build a relationship based on mutual trust and commitment towards improving the education sector. The union listed the implementation of the Sectoral agreement, the conclusion of the Junior College agreement, the conclusion of the Student Support Services agreement, the conclusion of the MCAST Managers agreement, the conclusion of the Foundation for Educational Services agreement and the conclusion of the Institute for Education agreement as the priorities in the coming days and months.
