Arrangements for collection of items from schools by MEDE detrimental to health – directives still in force
The MUT has objected formally with the Ministry for Education and Employment (MEDE) after a direction was issued by MEDE to schools through College Principals to proceed with arrangements to have educators and parents/students collect items from schools. This is due to the MUT and MEDE failing to reach an agreement on educators and parents/students attending schools to prepare/collect items or teaching material. As they are, the present arrangements shall result in contact between a considerable group of educators, parents and students and are clearly detrimental to the health and safety of all.
In view of this, the MUT is notifying members that the directive which has been issued earlier (click HERE to read) is still in force.
