Targets set for the conclusion of ongoing negotiations
MUT and the respective Ministries/Entities have established clear target dates to conclude all ongoing negotiations of agreements. This includes the Sectoral Agreement with the Education Ministry, the Collective Agreement with IFE, the Collective Agreement with MCAST and the Collective Agreement with ITS. Now that all parties have clear targets, a series of intensive meetings have been scheduled. These shall lead to the conclusion of respective agreements followed by the presentation of the agreements to affected members, through the procedure stipulated by Statute. Should negotiations fail at any stage of the negotiations, MUT shall be informing members to initiate industrial action. At this stage and until these processes are concluded, the operations of the union shall be focused exclusively on agreements. The MUT shall be limiting activities to situations requiring emergency intervention, whilst continuing to assist members as required. Members are requested to be patient in this particular phase.
