New Scholastic Year
The MUT would like to extend its warmest wishes for a successful year to all educators, who have, by now, started working on the new scholastic period. In the past months the MUT has been working incessantly on many fronts, including negotiations related to State, Church, MCAST and ITS Collective Agreements among other things. In relation to this, the Union is aiming at a wide-ranging consultation on agreements starting in the coming weeks – members will be informed accordingly.
Meanwhile, during the past two months the Union has met hundreds of members, with issues ranging from deployment cases to very serious and delicate matters some members unfortunately faced at their workplace in the past scholastic year. This service to members individually or in groups is one of the backbone services of the MUT and members can rest assured they will find help should they require it. In this respect, should contacting the Union through telephone prove difficult because of the sheer number of calls being received, please send an email to info@mut.org.mt stating membership number together with the query and one of the MUT Officials will get back.
