MUT requests progression of technicians at Church schools to be in line with those in State
The MUT wrote to the Secretariat for Catholic Education and the Permanent Secretary at the Education Ministry in relation to the unavailability of progressions of technicians employed with Church Schools. The MUT has been receiving requests regarding progression routes for technicians for the past two/three years. Whist technicians employed in State schools have a number of progression routes, technicians employed in Church schools do not have any progression route and are stuck in their grade. The union requested that the Church and Ministry seek a solution leading to progression of technicians.
