Issue with Circular on ‘Light Duties’
The MUT wrote to the DG at the People & Standards Division within the OPM to ask for an urgent meeting on the interpretation of Circular MPO 164/1995 for grades represented by the MUT. The Union stated that at this moment in time it is in disagreement with the current interpretation of the circular, which is arguably contradictory in nature and subject to a spectrum of interpretations. In a reply, the DG stated that she will look into the matter with IRU and MEDE and revert back with a date for a meeting.
