The union held discussions with Higher secondary management and the Ministry for Education and the situation has been solved. The last date for 2nd year students and the mode of assessment have been established and communicated by the school to affected teachers.
Meanwhile, the MUT would like to reassure members at the Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School that it was in favor of online assessment to replace exams and that there is no issue with it. It follows the arrangement agreed upon between the school and MUT last year. The issue above was with the last day for 2nd year students as the MUT expected alignment in the direction. Furthermore the MUT stressed with the management that it cannot accept that students are informed about decisions before educators.
