Industrial actions at the UM Junior College
The MUT is hereby issuing the first set of directives for lecturing grades at the UM Junior College. The directives follow the declaration of a trade dispute in November 2025 and the failure in reaching an agreement with the Government on a satisfactory updated collective agreement, which expired in December 2023.
The MUT is hereby directing all UM Junior College lecturing grades to:
- Refrain from participating in committee meetings
- Refrain from participating in boards including the Junior College board
- Refrain from participating in departmental meetings
- Refrain from carrying out any duties related to committees, boards or departments
- Refrain from submitting attendance records
- Refrain from submitting assessment results/marks
The directives shall come into force on Wednesday 15 April 2026. The MUT shall support all lecturing grades who shall follow industrial action.
