Great Siege programme to continue on a reduced schedule – Directives suspended

The issue relating to art, drama and music peripatetic teachers is now concluded. Following directives issued by the Union, the DG DQSE assumed full responsibility of the Directorate’s actions and stated that he will be addressing internal issues within the DQSE and communication issues with other Directorates to avoid future similar situations.

Meanwhile, the solution proposed is to still hold the Great Siege programme for peripatetic teachers to implement the hard work they have prepared for throughout the last months. However this programme will be reduced to end earlier (by 23rd October) so as to significantly mitigate any negative impact on Primary School teachers. To this, the Union replied that it is in agreement about the solution provided and that directives are therefore being suspended.
