Directive to all members – information requested during sick leave
The MUT is hereby directing all members to refrain from passing any information to schools or to the Ministry about educators who are sick following vaccination. Whilst all sick leave shall be deducted from the respective entitlement of the employee, no one including the Ministry may request such information which is clearly in violation of the employees’ right to sick leave entitlement. Any information requested regarding sick leave besides the medical certificate is illegal and MUT expects full adherence with legislation. Members who receive any pressure on the matter should inform the union.
