Clarification on use of mobile phones
Regards the use of mobile phones, the MUT wishes to clarify that unless an educator is given funding for a mobile phone including the mobile phone service one is using, the person is under no obligation to use his/her personal mobile phone to answer calls for work related purposes. This applies even during working hours and applies to all educators such as SMT, teachers including peripatetic (working in schools and also for example at student services), Support Teachers, LSAs, KGAs etc.
