Clarification on SEC Course at GCHSS
The MUT wrote to the Permanent Secretary at MEDE regarding a report published on the Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School (GCHSS) newsletter which stated that the SEC Course will not be offered at GCHSS anymore following communication with the DES. Instead, from information gathered by the Union, the course will now be only offered by GEM (Guze Ellul Mercer) School. However, the DG DES in a meeting with the MUT stated that the SEC Course provided at GEM is intended for students not registering for further studies and that the GCHSS will continue to provide SEC courses for those registering for Advanced / Intermediate Levels.
The MUT wrote to the Permanent Secretary at MEDE in order to seek a clarification on the situation.
