The MUT has opened a formal case with the Education Ministry regarding educators who have changed their employer and did not have all their previous years of employment being recognised. The MUT is referring to the relevant legislation and also to the rulings which recommend that prior experience is recognised.

The MUT is experiencing an increase in the incidents of intimidation and bullying at workplaces. This is being experienced in schools as well as in offices. The MUT has communicated with the Ministry regarding educators in state schools who have not received their salary in the respective bank accounts. The union has been informed that the said salaries shall be received shortly as there was a problem with the processing of a file. The MUT shall continue to follow the issue.
