MUT Granted Recognition of Teaching Grades at Mariam Al Batool School
The Mariam Al Batool School Board of Trustees has confirmed with the MUT that it has agreed to recognise the Union as the one representing teaching grades at the school. The MUT looks forward to cooperating with the school for the benefit of the school and all concerned.

Urgent meeting with St. Michael’s Junior School requested

Second Consultation meeting with Minister for Education and Employment
The MUT has been requested by the Council for the Teaching Profession to inform members about the following meeting: Consultation Meetings between Minister Evarist Bartolo and teaching grades in schools. The second meeting is scheduled for Thursday 5th May 2016 at 4pm for all teaching grades in independent schools. Venue is National Curriculum Centre Ħamrun.

Sabbatical for non-State Schools
The MUT wrote to the Permanent Secretary at the MEDE to ask about its plans to extend Sabbatical leave to non-State Schools, especially in view of a reference included in the last budget speech. The Union will keep members updated of any development accordingly.
