The Union reminds teachers that any written feedback in the form of comments or similar are voluntary. This is being issued in view of a number of schools who request such inputting of comments, both online or on specific sheets.

The union would like to clarify that LSAs cannot be requested to cover expenses to produce printed copies of IEP documents and approved resources. Printing of official documents such as IEPs must be carried out by the school.

The MUT would like to remind all concerned that it is not expected of teachers to carry out tasks outside of their remit – such as duties performed by LSAs – when their classes are taken over by student teachers.

The MUT wrote to the DG Operations to ask him to investigate after many members complained that they did not receive their payslip. The DG replied stating that he is looking into it.
