The MUT is issuing an ultimatum to ITS and IRU with regards to the financial proposals of the collective agreement. The Union submitted its proposals and made its position amply clear to management and is expecting the management’s position by 23rd April 2018.

The MUT would like to remind SMT members about the directive to refrain from implementing the direction issued by DES on the replacement of absent LSEs at school level. LSEs are also directed to stick to their current arrangement. Members who experience issues on this are requested to contact the Union for advice.

The MUT would like to notify members that LSEs have no obligation to leave their school and accompany their students on their job-shadowing experiences. The Union also notes that no pressure should be made on LSEs to comply and any such instances are to be reported to the MUT.
