The MUT wrote to the Director for Educational Services in Church Schools as it appears that some schools have been approached by persons from the Secretariat to perform literacy assessments. It transpires that teachers were later informed that through the results of this assessment, they are able to identify the “good from the bad” teachers. […]

Following what appears to be a way forward on the units issue, the MUT informed the MCAST Principal that it is suspending its directives until the issuing of the next payroll, following which the Union will decide whether to cancel them or to continue with reinforced directives.
