Directive to Guidance Teachers in State secondary schools

The MUT is hereby directing all Guidance Teachers in secondary schools to refrain from providing services in primary schools. This is due to the direction issued by MEDE without discussion whereby Guidance teachers are being expected to commence duties in Primary Schools.

Additional holiday as announced in budget

The MUT has made requests with employers and is currently discussing the allocation in the respective school calendars of the additional holiday to compensate for holidays falling during weekends as announced in the last budget. Details shall be provided in the coming days.
