Christmas activities in a number of State Schools may be cancelled due to inaccessible halls
A number of State Schools are currently deciding whether they can hold Christmas activities for students in December. This decision is due to a number of halls being inaccessible to schools since they are still being used as Covid-19 stores by the Government.
In the years prior to the pandemic, some of these schools would already be geared towards the preparation of concerts and other activities for students during November and December. However, the uncertainty caused by the inability to use their respective hall may actually lead to the cancellation of Christmas activities. Time is pressing and unless schools are given access to their halls within the coming days, there shall not be sufficient time to carry out the preparations for Christmas activities.
The MUT is appealing to the Government and the Education Ministry to clear these halls to be used by respective schools.
