Directive – Reading Recovery
Following a communication with the Education Ministry, the MUT is issuing a directive to SMT members to refrain from carrying out new duties on reading recovery. This is being issued after instructions to SMT members to carry out new duties involving assessments of reading recovery as part of a reading recovery training. The union stated that it is issuing the directive since this practice was never discussed and agreed upon.
