“Voluntary” training in summer suspended following MUT intervention
The MUT has discussed the “voluntary” training which was announced by the Ministry for Education for a number of educators during the summer period. The MUT objected with the respective Directorate since subject-specific training cannot be held outside the parameters of the agreement. The proposed training would not be on a voluntary basis given the relevance to the subjects. To this effect, the Curriculum Directorate accepted the request to suspend the training. The MUT will continue following the matter.
