MUT asked Ministry for clarification on certification of risk assessments
Following media reports, the MUT has asked the Ministry for Education and Employment to clarify the statement by the OHSA regarding risk assessments in schools, in which they stated that the OHSA does not certify whether buildings are in line with restrictive measures aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus. In view of this, the MUT expects a clarification so that it is confirmed all risk assessments are valid and have the backing of the competent authority. The MUT has also requested that the compliance certificate is published at a prominent place in each respective school and that the risk assessment is available to all employees. The MUT would like to emphasise the importance of health and safety of everyone concerned at this very particular time.
