Serious situation involving redeployment, posts of responsibility and promotional grades
The MUT contacted the Directorate for Educational Services after it received a number of reports from members who, in the last minute, are being either not deployed to services due to lack of replacements or else are being requested to relinquish a post of responsibility to take a teaching load due to shortage of teachers. Apart from this, a number of members on promotional grades have also informed the Union that they are being coerced into accepting teaching loads against their job description. The Union is seeking clarifications about the situation, which is unprecedented and which could have been anticipated.
