Update on the Working Groups and the Sectoral/Collective agreement
The MUT has concluded the first cycle of meetings with the working groups which involved discussions on proposals for the new agreements. These discussions have been carried out with working groups for the past three months. Following further discussions by the MUT Council, the MUT has presented proposals to the Education Ministry about each grade represented in the agreement (namely HODs, AHs, Teachers, LSEs, KGEs, EOs and HOS). The MUT should be receiving the reactions of the Ministry in the coming weeks. Meanwhile working groups shall start working on updates to the job descriptions of each grade, a process which shall be carried out in parallel with the negotiations of the new agreements. The MUT has been issuing continuous updates on the negotiations process of the new agreements and shall continue to inform members.
