Update on the distribution of new Laptops
The MUT is informed that the procurement process for new laptops for educators in Church schools is complete and new laptops shall be distributed shortly. The replacement of laptops has been discussed for months and the union is satisfied that the Church Secretariat, together with respective Church schools, managed to get through the complicated process to secure the new laptops.
Following yet another meeting held with the Ministry of Education regarding the provision of new laptops, the Ministry received a consignment of 2000 new laptops and they shall be distributed to educators shortly. This, together with the previous lot which have been distributed, constitute a third of the total number laptops to be supplied. The Ministry could not commit to a date when the remaining laptops shall be distributed, claiming international shortages.
