Update on Public Administration Act proposed in Parliament – Revolving Doors concept
The MUT refers to concerns related to the Public Administration Act proposal currently being debated in Parliament. The Union, as part of For.U.M., participated in Parliament’s House Committee last week and shall continue to follow the matter. Previously and on the day, MUT received verbal assurance that educators performing regulatory functions (quality assurance) shall not be included in the list of officials to which the new ’revolving doors’ section of the revised Public Administration Act applies. Despite pressing for a written assurance about the matter, no such assurance is forthcoming. This together with other issues are still pending – the MUT as part of For.U.M. will keep members updated accordingly.
