Talk on diabetes and processed food
Type 2 diabetes is a serious condition that plagues 1 in 10 of the Maltese population. Teaching children about the importance of a healthy diet has never been more important. A talk entitled “Diabetes and Processed Food: An experiment that failed” is being held by world renowned paediatric endocrinologist and nutrition expert Professor Robert Lustig and organised in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Health and the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate. The talk is on Saturday 2nd April, 9:30am, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre and admission is free (refreshments will follow).
