Students’ Laptops – direction
The MUT has been in communication with the Education Ministry regarding the distribution and use of students’ laptops. The following is the initial direction:
Educators are not responsible for the distribution of laptops.
Students and parents are responsible for laptops.
The teacher has full discretion whether to use laptops during lessons or not.
Laptops cannot be charged at school or connected to wall power supplies.
The Union has received reports about filtering issues of laptops and has passed the information to the respective directorate for action. The MUT is following the matter and may issue additional directions to members.
