Reminder about Voluntary Feedback for Parents’ Days or Evenings
As already reported in previous years, the Union reminds members that feedback for parents’ days or evenings is voluntary and not obligatory. Furthermore:
(1) teachers are not obliged and may rightly refuse to give personal e-mail addresses;
(2) are not obliged to enter comments for students;
(3) are not obliged to adopt a classification system of performance, and;
(4) cannot be imposed a deadline for a purely voluntary exercise.
Moreover, the Union also reminds members that since none of the above is enshrined in any agreement, no pressures are to be exerted on teachers to comply. Any such instances are to be reported to the MUT.
