Reminder about directive to refrain from remaining in class with student teachers if not appointed as mentors
Due to situations in the past in which a number of schools forced teachers to remain in class whenever there is a student teacher, the MUT would like to remind members about the directive to refrain from remaining in class with a student teacher unless they are officially appointed mentors. It is the responsibility of the institution providing the course to issue a call and appoint mentors for this role and teachers who have not applied to provide this service cannot be expected to do it. Any issues should be reported to the MUT at once.
