Questionnaire for Professionals on Knowledge of Eating Disorders
The MUT has received the following message for members:
The Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta is currently conducting research in collaboration with Dar Kenn għal Saħħtek to examine the current state of knowledge of eating disorders among professionals. Professionals such as yourselves may be the first point of contact for persons with eating disorders and could help steer the person in the direction of life-saving diagnosis and treatment. Research conducted last year by our Faculty, together with Dar Kenn għal Saħħtek, has revealed that eating disorders are on the rise, especially among young people. The sooner a person is diagnosed and receives treatment, the better their chances of recovery. Early recognition by an educator or other professional would greatly improve their chances and outcomes.
As educators and experts in your fields, we wish to invite you to participate in this online questionnaire, examining knowledge of eating disorders, knowledge gaps and requirements for information.
