Parents’ Days in State Schools – update and direction
The MUT refers to the communication issued by MFED regarding parents’ days. The direction, which has been discussed and agreed upon with MFED, is that online parents’ days are organised through MS Teams whereby the scheduling of meetings with parents is conducted automatically by parents through the function of the software. This model, which has already been adopted in other schools, reduces considerably the work related to scheduling of appointments. The MUT therefore directs school management to use the function described and to refer to the respective technical teams within Colleges for any assistance. The MUT directs teachers to stick to the respective schedule of parents’ day/s during school hours. Any issues need to be reported to the union.
