MUT Submits Complaint on Use of Classrooms after School Hours
The MUT submitted a formal complaint to the Permanent Secretary at MEDE and to the St. Paul’s Bay Local Council after members stated that they found the classroom in ruins with resources destroyed, dirt on desks and children’s desks not in place, and pens and markers missing. When a complaint was made with the school administration, it transpired that certain rooms were used by the Local Council after school hours for evening classes. Whilst the Union agrees with adult learning initiatives, these should not be made at the expense of other people and resources, which include personal belongings from children and teachers.
