MUT objects to Scale 5 Position Eligibility Criterion
The MUT has reiterated its position with the Permanent Secretary at MEDE in relation to the formal objection made in relation to an eligibility criterion issued for the Position of Service Manager Educational Resources within the DES. The Union stated that it is completely unacceptable that the criterion in question opens a Scale 5 position to virtually any public officer holding twelve years of service and that it is deemed relevant by the selection board irrespective of the candidate’s qualifications and substantive grade. In view of the circumstances, the Union asked for a meeting with the relevant authorities to discuss the eligibility criteria of this grade.
