MUT Members directed not to write mobile number on new sickness verification template
The MUT wrote to the DG DES in relation to the sickness verification template which is used by schools. The Union is informed that this template has been changed and now includes mobile phone numbers, which is of concern as most educators provide their personal mobile number to the school with the understanding that the use of such number is used exclusively by the school for VERY urgent matters. In view of this, the Union stated that it will be advising its members to refrain from filling the section on mobile phones and that this new template is amended to remove this new field.
Members are therefore directed not to write their mobile number on the form.
