MUT criticises the Ministry for providing only visors to educators and requests voice projection devices in schools
Following the recommended mask wearing announced by health authorities and the confirmation from the Ministry for Education that it shall provide masks to all educators, the MUT is making a formal request to the Ministry to provide voice projection devices in schools. It is evident that delivering lessons whilst wearing a mask strains vocal cords and surely electronic voice projection devices shall assist educators. Classrooms are already equipped with loudspeakers so all it takes is a headset or similar device to project the voice during lessons. The MUT expects the Ministry to accede to this request at once.
