MUT attends GET UP partners’ meeting
The MUT just attended a partners’ meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania to discuss Gender Equality Training to overcome unfair discrimination practices in education and labour market as part of transnational project GET UP. Topics of discussion included the training being set up as part of the project, an online anti-discrimination kit currently being planned to be available on an online platform and an awareness raising campaign on the topic. This project is funded through JUST funds by the Directorate-General Justice and Consumers within the European Commission. It is aimed at addressing the stereotyping of educational and career choices and at promoting gender equality in education, training and career guidance. Partners of this project amount to eight with the coordinator being UIL – the Italian Labour Trade Union. Other partners are from Bulgaria, Lithuania, and other transnational organisations such as the Association for Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA) and the European research and development service for the social economy, cooperatives and participative enterprises (DIESIS).
