MUT asks for Recognition of Directors and Deputy Directors at MCAST
The MUT wrote to the MCAST President to formally submit a request for the initiation of the process for Union recognition of the grades of Institute Director and Institute Deputy Director as well as the grade of Deputy Director PM. The Union believes it has the majority of employees in these grades as Union members and is therefore seeking recognition for sole representation and collective bargaining. The MUT stated that it is not in agreement with the idea that these grades represent top management positions at MCAST for a variety of reasons and firmly believes that it is in the interest of both MCAST as well as persons in these grades that there is collective representation.
