MUT asks for clarity on future of the ITS
The MUT wrote to the Minister for Tourism after increased speculation about the future of the physical building of the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) following various reports on local media in recent weeks. There are various versions doing the rounds of what seems to be the plan and many Union members have expressed uncertainty and concern. The Union has therefore asked the Minister to clarify, at the earliest possible, (a) the target date when ITS will open doors at Smart City; (b) the target date when ITS will close its facilities at the current sites; and (c) whether there will be an interim location housing ITS until the new site opens.
