Members invited to Diabetes Seminar organised by the President’s Foundation
The President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society contacted the Union to invite members to a morning seminar titled “New Developments in Diabetes Type 2 Treatment” led by leading international endocrinologist-diabetologist Professor Nebojsa Lalic to help raise awareness of this serious condition. The talk is on Saturday 19th November, 9am, at the President’s Palace, St George’s Square, Valletta, and admission is free (refreshments will follow). Seats are limited so please email to confirm attendance at pfwsconferencebookings.opr@gov.mt.
Type 2 diabetes is a serious condition that plagues 1 in 10 of the Maltese population. Malta has among the highest levels of type 2 diabetes and obesity in the EU, so teaching children about the importance of a healthy diet has never been more important.
