The MUT has once again contacted the DG Operations as it is highly disappointed that issues related to lack of resources for educators remain pending. The Union stated that it is not acceptable that teachers, KGAs and LSAs have to buy basic everyday resources out of their own pockets to be used at their workplace – something which they are not obliged to do but do so nonetheless because of their dedication to their job and the students they teach. This issue has been repeating itself for years and even with changes in financial infrastructures, the situation has not improved – actually in some cases it has become worse. The Union asked the DG to look into this issue and to place funds to make a real difference in class and not give priority to curtains, gardening and other secondary stuff.
