Directive on PQs
The MUT wrote to the Minister for Education and Employment regarding Parliamentary Question (PQ) 23435 related to Cultural Outings by Primary Schools. The Union stated that without going into whether and how such a PQ would be useful to the Maltese Parliament, the fact is that this PQ and all others cannot be answered at such a short notice. Schools in Malta are not equipped with staff on PQs and therefore an adequate amount of time is needed so as to process such requests. The MUT is therefore directing all members not to reply to PQs unless enough time is given for them to be processed.
In a reply, the Minister stated that he is taking note accordingly.
