Directive for State School Teachers on Half-yearly Exams
The Union has been informed that in various Colleges Primary School teachers have been asked to work on their half-yearly exams during the summer recess. This has apparently been the case also in some Secondary Schools. Moreover it appears that teachers are being told that the deadline for this is in September or October. Members are therefore directed not to do any such work before the start of the scholastic year. The Union and the DQSE in actual fact have an understanding that the deadline is in the first week of December. Other deadlines are to be ignored.
