Youth for youth concert by the Lisa Maria Foundation and the Malta Youth Orchestra
The Lisa Maria Foundation is organising a ‘YOUTH for YOUTH’ concert together with the Malta Youth Orchestra of the Malta Philarmonic Orchestra (MPO). This will be held on 1st and 2nd July 2016 at the Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta. The foundation would like to invite anyone interested in attending – entrance is free.

Vocational Subjects – follow up of meeting held with members
Following a meeting held for Teachers of Vocational subjects, the Union requested a meeting with the respective Directorates to discuss issues raised by members. The Union shall be issuing updates on the matter in the coming weeks.

Industrial Dispute on Recognition at MCAST lifted
Following discussions between the MUT, MCAST and PACBU on the issue of recognition of technician grades, an agreement on the way forward has been reached and the industrial dispute and related directives are hereby being lifted. MCAST has today written to DIER to initiate the verification process.

Directive on sponsorship scheme at ITS lifted
Following discussions, an agreement has been reached between the MUT and the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) regarding the Haaga Helia contracts for sponsorships. Any directive issued in this regard is hereby being lifted.
