Call for Primary Regular Teachers being re-issued to include eligible fully-qualified Supply Teachers
Following an urgent intervention with MEDE, PSC and PAHRO, the call for regular teachers for the primary sector is going to be re-issued since the last call was riddled with errors and left out the category of persons in possession of the conversion course.
Earlier this week the Union contacted the Directorates after it was approached by persons who have been in employment as supply teachers for the past 4 years in the primary sector, are fully qualified teachers as per Education Act and in possession or eligible for a Permanent Warrant, have also carried out the conversion course organised by the Faculty, but whose application for regular teacher (very much in breach of the agreement) has been rejected as ineligible. The Union had stated that this is a breach in agreement and should be addressed very urgently.
The Union thanks members for drawing its attention immediately.
